The Association organizes a diverse range of scientific, professional, social, and cultural activities aimed at strengthening communication among members, supporting professional development, and building a strong network within the medical community in Finland.
Founding Activities
First Introductory Meeting – 22 June 2025
The first introductory meeting was held with the participation of several colleagues who expressed their enthusiasm for this initiative and their readiness to cooperate and contribute to its success. The meeting included an introduction to the Association’s founders, a presentation of its vision and objectives, and an opportunity for attendees to network and exchange experiences and knowledge in a friendly, professional atmosphere.
First Annual (Founding) Conference – 1 November 2025
The founding conference was held in Helsinki. The programme included an official introduction to the Association as a registered entity in Finland, followed by a scientific session.
Dr. Hind Al-Juboori delivered a lecture on ophthalmology.
This was followed by a joint presentation by Dr. Marwa Beltaji, Dr. Osama Al-Juboori, and Dr. Sameh Al-Geneidi on combating racism in Finland, its impact on mental health, and how to assert one’s rights in cases of racist practices in the workplace.
The first General Assembly meeting was also held, during which administrative matters related to registration and the work plan were discussed. The first Board of Directors was elected for a two-year term. The event concluded on a joyful note with a traditional dabke performance by Al-Hurriya Dance Troupe.
Scientific Seminars and Lectures
Medical Webinar Series
The Association is committed to organizing a series of scientific lectures delivered by a distinguished group of physicians, consultants, and experts across various medical specialties, with the aim of supporting members’ continuous professional development.
These lectures combine scientific and practical content, and provide a platform for academic networking and building a strong professional community among members. They also offer opportunities for direct dialogue with speakers and Q&A sessions.

Health Awareness Seminars for the Arab Community
June 2026 – Oral and Dental Health Seminar
Oral and dental health begins with daily prevention, early awareness, and accurate health guidance from specialists.
Through this seminar, we aimed to support Arabic-speaking families in Finland with practical information and steps to help reduce tooth decay, gum disease, and many other preventable oral and dental problems.

Social Gatherings for Members and Their Families
First Family Gathering and Meeting with YLE Arabia – 6 December 2025
A family networking meeting was held with the aim of strengthening bonds among members’ families. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the event provided an opportunity for members—and new prospective members—to connect and exchange experiences.
The gathering also received notable media coverage: coordination with the Arabic-language news presenter at Yle resulted in a short introductory video about the Association. This helped highlight the Association’s mission, objectives, and activities on its official social media platforms.
Ramadan Iftar – 28 February 2026
The Ramadan iftar was held with strong attendance from members and their families, including participants who traveled from other cities. The event reflected the spirit of warmth and goodwill characteristic of the holy month. It served as a purely social occasion aimed at strengthening relationships among members and fostering a spirit of connection and cooperation. The gathering was marked by a friendly atmosphere and clear social warmth, reinforcing the Association’s human presence alongside its professional and scientific role.
Eid al-Fitr Celebration – 22 March 2026
The Eid al-Fitr celebration was held in a distinctive and festive atmosphere, in response to growing requests from members to organize such events that bring together members and their families in a welcoming social and cultural setting. The occasion reflected a spirit of familiarity and closeness among members and their families, and helped strengthen the sense of belonging and connection. The programme included a poetry recital and a communal lunch accompanied by a variety of Arabic music, along with a notable turnout and the serving of authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, giving the event a rich cultural and social character.
