The Association organizes a variety of scientific, professional, social, and cultural activities with the aim of fostering communication among members, supporting professional development, and building a strong network within the medical community in Finland.
Founding Activities
First Orientation Session: June 22, 2025
The first introductory meeting was held in the presence of a number of colleagues who expressed their delight at this initiative and their willingnessto cooperate and contribute to supporting its progress. The meeting included an introduction to the association’s founders, a presentation of its vision and goals, as well as providing an opportunity for attendees to get to know one another andexchange experiences and knowledge in a friendly, professional atmosphere
The Association's First (Founding) Annual Conference, November 1, 2025
The founding conference was held in Helsinki. The conference program included an introduction to the association as an officially registered entity in Finland, as well as an academic program during which Dr. Hind Al-Jabouri presented a lecture on ophthalmology, followed by a lecture presented by Dr. Marwa Beltagy, Dr. Osama Al-Jabouri and Dr. Sameh Al-Junaidi on combating racism in Finland, its impact on mental health, and ways to assert one’s rights when subjected to racist practices in the workplace. The association’s first general assembly meeting was also held, during which administrative matters related to registration and the work plan were discussed, and the association’s first board of directors was elected for a two-year term. The event concluded in a joyful Arab atmosphere with a Dabke dance performance by the Al-Hurriya troupe.
Scientific Seminars and Lectures
Medical Webinar Series
The Association is committed to organizing a series of scientific lectures presented by a select group of physicians, consultants, and experts in various medical specialties, with the aim of supporting the continuing professional development of its members.
These lectures are distinguished by their combination of scientific and practical aspects; they also provide a platform for scientific exchange and the development of a strong professional network among members, while offering the opportunity for direct dialogue with the lecturers and for asking questions.

Health Awareness Seminars for the Arab Community
June 20, 2026: Oral and Dental Health Seminar
Oral and dental health begins with daily prevention, early awareness, and proper health guidance from specialists
Through this seminar, we sought to support Arabic-speaking families in Finland by providing information and practical steps to help reduce tooth decay, gum disease, and many other preventable oral and dental problems.
Dr. Rayan Al-Ramadan, a dentist with the West Osima Healthcare District, spoke at this seminar.
The seminar was moderated by Dr. Marwa Beltagy, a Ph.D. candidate in public health and mental health at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Helsinki
Social Gatherings for Members and Their Families
First Family Gathering and Interview with YLE Arabia, December 6, 2025
A get-together for the families was held, with the aim of strengthening ties among members’ families, in a friendly and warm atmosphere that provided an opportunity for members to get to know one another and exchangeideas among members, as well as with new members. The event also attracted significant media attention, as arrangements were made with the Arabic-language news anchorat Yle, and a short introductory video about the association was produced, which helped highlight the association’s mission, goals, and activitieson its official social media platforms.
Ramadan Iftar, February 28, 2026
A Ramadan iftar was held with a large turnout of members and their families, including participants who traveled from other cities, in an atmosphere that reflected the spirit of camaraderie and love that characterizes theblessed month. The gathering was a purely social occasion aimed atstrengthen ties among members and foster a spirit of communication andcooperation. The event was marked by a friendly atmosphere and a palpable sense of camaraderie, and helped reinforce the association’s humanitarian presence alongside its professional and scientific role
Eid al-Fitr Celebration, March 22, 2026
The Eid al-Fitr celebration took place in a special atmosphere filled withfestive spirit, in response to growing requests from members to organizesuch events that bring together members andtheir families in a warm social and cultural atmosphere. The event reflected the spirit of camaraderie and closeness between members and, and helped strengthen their sense of belonging and connection. The program included poetry recitations, and a group lunch accompanied by a variety of Arabic music, along with distinguished guests and authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, which gave the event a rich cultural and social atmosphererich cultural and social character
